Café Granja La Esperanza — Geisha Natural is a rare and storied Colombian Geisha, grown across the mist-covered highlands of Trujillo, Valle del Cauca. Jasmine and tropical fruit open the cup with quiet confidence, giving way to a soft strawberry sweetness and a layered, lingering finish. Floral, lush, and unmistakably Geisha — this is one of the most expressive lots Colombia has produced.

Brew Guide

Café Granja La Esperanza (CGLE) is a third-generation family operation with roots stretching back to 1924, when Israel Correa and Carmen Rosa Vega first acquired farmland in the highlands of Valle del Cauca. Today, brothers Rigoberto and Luis Eduardo Herrera oversee five estates across the Colombian Andes — and their farm in Trujillo holds a special place in history: it was here, in 2010, that the Geisha variety first took root in Colombia.

This lot is processed as a full natural. Cherries are handpicked at peak ripeness, rigorously sorted, and dried whole at a slow and deliberate pace. The gradual process concentrates the sugars and fruit within the bean, producing a cup that is at once floral, lush, and deeply expressive.
