Karindundu AA – Kenya Nyeri Washed Coffee

Karindundu AA is a vibrant Kenyan single origin coffee from Nyeri, Kenya, grown at high altitude on the slopes of Mt. Kenya. Processed using the traditional Kenya washed process, this coffee showcases the clarity and brightness that Nyeri coffees are known for.

With classic SL28 and SL34 varietals, the cup delivers lively blackcurrant acidity, balanced brown sugar sweetness, and a smooth raisin-like finish, making it an approachable example of high-quality Kenyan specialty coffee.

Brew Guide

Located in the lowland region of Mt. Kenya near Karatina town, the Karindundu Factory works with approximately 513 active smallholder farmers who, alongside coffee, also cultivate macadamia, banana, maize, and beans, supporting a diverse and sustainable farming ecosystem

Cherries are carefully hand-harvested and processed using the traditional Kenyan washed method, beginning with precise pulping followed by overnight fermentation, clean washing, and slow drying on raised beds, a meticulous approach that enhances clarity, structure, and the vibrant fruit character Nyeri is known for
