Kiamugumo AA is a jammy, syrupy Kenyan coffee from Kirinyaga on the slopes of Mt. Kenya. Cherry jam and fresh raspberry fill the cup, with milk chocolate sweetness and a juicy acidity.

Brew Guide

Kiamugumo sits in a forested, high-rainfall region with rich volcanic soil that produces some of Kenya's most fruit-forward coffees. The factory was founded in the 1970s and is run by the New Ngariama Farmers Cooperative Society, whose roughly 1,150 members each grow coffee alongside other crops on around an eighth of a hectare.

Cherries are picked ripe and pulped the same day, fermented in open tanks for 24 to 48 hours, washed in channels and then soaked underwater for 12 to 72 hours, the step that gives Kenyan coffees their clarity, before drying on raised beds.
